What's changed in the new website?
1. New Web Address (Domain Name) - www.hatzbiplane.com
We will retain the old "weebeastie" name for some time since that has had a lot of exposure
on the internet and in print.
All future attempts to access the "weebeastie" site will be redirected here.
2. New Format
The webpages have been redesigned and now incorporate a menu at the top. The menu is available
from all pages and is your primary means of navigation throughout the site. I have removed all
the static links on the individual pages so if you are looking for something please check the menu
first, then the forum and the gallery. See the items below for updates on what's in the forum and gallery.
3. Forum
The old DCForum has been retired in favor of a contemporary forum software that has many more
features and is more widely accepted and supported by hosting services.

What happened to the old forum postings?
The old forum has been moved to this site. The old forum postings are still available and can be
viewed in the old forum software. Links to each of the old forums are available in the new forum
under the respective topics (i.e. a link to the old "Building the CB-1" forum is available in the
new "Building the CB-1" forum section, etc.)
Why weren't the old forum postings converted to the new forum format?
Short answer - It isn't possible
Long answer - The old DCForum 6.25 is an outdated, unsupported (company is out of business)
software that uses .txt files rather than a database to store the postings. Not only is it
unsupported, but none of the current forum software packages produce any sort of migration
tool to transfer from DCForum 6.25 to their forum package. I did encounter one possible
source for a conversion utility, but it was a "home-grown" piece of software written by
a lone, unknown individual - it had never been tested, no one had ever used it, and
it too was unsupported.
What does this do to forum threads that were "live" at the time of the transition to the new forum?
The old forum threads are still available in a "read only" mode. If you want to continue a given thread
you will have to create a new posting in the new forum. Sorry for the inconvenience, but that's just the
way things are. If it helps, you can always link to the old forum thread as part of the new topic.
Do I need to Register to use the new forum?
Yes. This is a new piece of software and has nothing to do with the old forum. Guests may read postings,
but if you want to post to the new forum then you must register. If it makes things easier, you can
always register on the new forum using the same "Username" that you used on the old forum.

4. Photos and the Gallery
A new photo gallery is now available. This will enable everyone to post their own pictures
without having to email the website admin.
5. Some of the web pages from the old site are missing?
Actually no. Several of the pages from the old site make more sense to be part of either the forum
or the gallery where individuals can post to them rather than emailing the website admin to make a
change to a static web page.
