Well that's very interesting to hear, and contrary to what I have heard before.
Full disclosure: I am completely new to aluminum, so I'm eager to learn these things.

Would you kindly expand on the remark that the rivets will be stronger without adhesive?

Nick

One needs to bond the aluminum skins? Rivets should be stronger without adhesive.

Any etching type primer will work. Automotive etching chromate primers work too.

Howdy Hatzers.

Does anyone here use Aeropoxy http://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog/wp ... 279adh.php to bond and seal aluminum? Seems like a good product.
If not, do you have other recommendations?

Also If anyone has a recommendation on how to prepare and prime the aluminum aileron skins, I'd sure like to hear it.

Thanks

Nick
