The FAA references the ICAO standard for aircraft types. Here's the link:

If you enter Hatz as the "Manufacturer" it appears that "CB1" is the designation to use.

I just bought a nice Hatz CB-1 and was thinking about flying various places and wondered what folks used as the type mnemonic for the aircraft?

My Mooney M20C is M20P and the Cessna I flew in flight school was C172... what do you put for your Hatz?
