Nice workmanship and clever ideas, Murray. I thought about getting a ShopBot router, a friend of mine works there, in Durham, NC. Another pilot friend offered to loan me his laser cutter, and I like the laser cut parts I know from model planes. Either route is far better than doing each part individually on a table router.

Laser cutting wood

Dear friends, does anyone have experience laser cutting wood parts for the CB-1? I have access to a laser cutter but will need to get the geometry into CAD first. The CAD part is easy for me but I have no experience with laser cutters. Sounds easy but would like to benefit from others’ experiences. Thank you. Kent in NC
