Va is the speed at which Clmax produces the structural limit g-load. Vne is (IIRC) 90% of the max speed actually achieved during dive tests.

What are folks doing to calculate Vne and Va? The guy who built my plane wrote a novel in the logbook during flight test but I can’t find a dive test to Vne anywhere. It’s probably there, but it’s like reading a letter from the Civil War. I calculated a theoretical Vne based on what I could find as a wing loading and I believe it was right around 130mph. Strangely the required logbook entry doesn’t require Vne.

How about Va? Are you just computing it based on wing loading/Vne?
