Hi Nick,

Thanks for the welcome. I have studied Hans and Sam web site, even contacted them on their mod's. They do offer some drawings and parts which are their design.

Looking to putting my own personal touch on her.

Doug, just got in touch with Victor. Going to look at his Hatz.

That's a nice Pietenpol. Where did you get your wheels?

Thanks, was fun to build and fly. I made the wheels. Machined and welded up the hubs, send them out to be laced and rims drilled. Took a knobby motorcycle tire and cut off the knobs then sanded smooth. Printed the "Palmer Aero Cord" on them with a rubberized medium then fabric covered. Plan on making some Speed Wheels for the Hatz Classic.

Doug, Vic contacted me, waiting for his reply on meeting time and day.

I did. Sold the Piet a few years ago. Purely a grass field fair weather airplane. Build from the 1932 Flying & Glider Manual, no brakes, tail skid ( not tail-wheel ), bungee sprung straight axle gear, Flat wing ( no dihedral ), Model-A engine an a Big brass radiator which was very hot flying behind in the Summer, Fall was nice though! BTW, I did test fly her, I was Hanna Reitsch for the day.

Now for something a little more practical, sort of, but still full of fun! ... the Hatz Classic.
