OK campers, so a few months ago I managed to fight my way back into the shop and shake off a multitude of things that have dragged me down over the last few years. Back at it... with pics to prove it :D

Thanks. That lathe is the best $250.00 I ever spent. 15" swing & 42" between centers. Built Dec. 7, 1944. Feels good to be working with vintage machinery.

No, not original. Leblond did have one as an option in 1944, but this didn't come with it and finding an original is basically impossible. The one in the pic is a Palmgren I picked up on ebay. Works well enough, but the real issue is the backlash in the compound... you need to take real small passes when "milling" on the lathe so the work doesn't get pushed around. A Bridgeport would be great... but gee.. where would I put it? Lol.
