Material for turtledeck formers.

Post by beechdrvr »

Hi All,
Time to build the turtledeck. Classic plans call for 3/8 od "soft" aluminum tube.
Versatube looks to fit the bill. Anyone remember what they used? Or, a reason I shouldn't use Versatube.

Input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I used 3/8 soft aluminum tube from Aircraft Spruce and set it on pins welded to the top of the longerons. I did the same on the bottom of the fuselage.

I did the same as Ed. Worked out good.
