Happy Memorial Day all!
Tomorrow my wife and I drive to Louisville, KY, to see my son, Curtis, off to Marine boot camp. The Holiday sort of fits the occasion and vice versa. The boot camp and training will be good for him (he's pumped and gung ho) but it's the rest of his 4 years that will give his Mother and I gray hair.
It'll be several years before he and his best friend Tyler (US Army) can attend Brodhead with me again. Their biggest hangup with joining the service is to not be able to get to Brodhead and OSH. But they'll get there eventually.
