Fuel Shutoff Valve

Post by wildhorsesracing »

My fuel shutoff valve has failed and I need to replace it. I tried ordering a new one from Aircraft Spruce a month ago but it is still on backorder 30-45 days out.

Mine is a 3 port version and my plane only uses 2 ports (in/out) - what are other folks using? Where can I find a 2 port fuel shutoff?

I have a three port variety from Wicks.
It is listed as one for VariEz’s and works well fo me as I have two tanks.

I used a WEATHERHEAD FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE from ACS but it is available from other sources. Mine is also a three port with one plugged.
The Weatherhead valve looks very much like yours.

You say it failed.
What failed? Some of these have replaceable o-rings.
You may be able to take it apart, clean everything up, replace the o-rings and put it back together.
This is the one I use. It's a little pricey but I found I was able to feel the detent positions better than the weather head variety.
