 "Tizzy Too"

OWNER/BUILDER: Rick Hansen

REGISTRATION: N208RH

1998 Oshkosh Champion, Plans-built

This is the second aircraft built from plans #208. Powered by a Continental O-200, the aircraft weighs in at about 842 lbs. That, folks, is one lightweight Hatz. Rick proves that you can build it light and still have a very plush, well built aircraft.

Rick impatiently begins rigging the wings without realizing that he forgot something. No, just kidding, right, Rick? Rick?
A great day to fly a new biplane off a grass strip. But then, just about any day is good for that!
A Champion! This picture still doesn't do justice to how gorgeous this aircraft is.

Rick's first Hatz, N208H, the Tizzy Lish, was 1986 Oshkosh Grand Champion. This aircraft was so incredibly well done that it inspired a rennaisance in Hatz building. Among those caught up in it all were Billy Dawson, 1997 Oshkosh Grand Champion and yours truly.
