Oshkosh Champion, Plans-built
This is the second aircraft
built from plans #208. Powered by a Continental O-200, the aircraft weighs
in at about 842 lbs. That, folks, is one lightweight Hatz. Rick proves that
you can build it light and still have a very plush, well built aircraft.

No, just kidding, right, Rick? Rick? |

A great day to
fly a new biplane off a grass strip. But then, just about any
day is good for that! |

A Champion!
This picture still doesn't do justice to how gorgeous this aircraft
is. |

Rick's first
Hatz, N208H, the Tizzy Lish, was 1986 Oshkosh Grand Champion.
This aircraft was so incredibly well done that it inspired a
rennaisance in Hatz building. Among those caught up in it all
were Billy Dawson, 1997 Oshkosh Grand Champion and yours truly. |
