The
day of the first flight! All smiles under a sunny sky!

Getting
ready for Oshkosh! Final assembly. |

Cutting

job.
Also, no loose clothing. |

OSHKOSH,
'98:
Notice
how while everyone else is watching something to the right, these
Hatz Nutz are in a huddle. It's all in how you set your priorities. |

OSHKOSH,

A
beautiful shot of Concord through the wings of the Hatz.
To the dismay of the Concord crew, Dale wouldn't let them park
next to New Vintage. |

The
New Vintage Crew toward the end of construction, adjusting wing
dihedral. Note how the airplane has become somehow older. |

No,

It's the New Vintage Crew hard at work sewing the covering.
Where the heck is Dad while all this work is going on? |

Dale
proves that the Hatz is such a fine airplane that you don't even
need all of it for low-level flight! He also shows that his flies
50% hands-off at this stage of construction.
NOTE:
he lightened the seat considerably on the final aircraft. |

The
women in Dale's life at the end of a successful coup. Wife and
daughter displace Dale from the cockpit of the Hatz. |

The
New Vintage Crew displays the spinner-thingy ornament that will
adorn the nose of the Hatz. |
